Kansas City Chiefs – Coaching Staff Improvements

The heat is at an all time high this year, and you can imagine that the Kansas City Chiefs players and coaches up at camp in St. Joseph, Missouri are feeling the heat as well.  Even though the Kansas City Chiefs went 4-12 last year, fans and experts alike are expecting to see a much improved Chiefs team on the field.  The good news is that 2nd year Chiefs Head Coach Todd Haley has greatly improved his coaching staff by adding some new coordinators. Charlie Weis will be calling the shots as offensive coordinator now ,and Romeo Crennel will lead the defense.  Weis, who is yelling from the training camp sideline while sitting on his motorized scooter, shows how committed he is into shaping this offense.  Recently recovering from knee surgery, Weis didn’t miss any of training camp, and he is trying to whip this offense into shape for the 2010 season.  Hopefully Weis will be able to help Quarterback Matt Cassel have a better variety of plays and passing options in-game.  Weis will also be taking a quite a bit off of Todd Haley’s plate this year since Haley will no longer be calling the in game offensive plays this year like he did  in 2009.  The addition of Crennel to the Chiefs coaching staff should help improve the defensive line and help the Chiefs hold the opponents to much lower scores than in 2009.

With the new coordinators, Chiefs fans have reasons to be optimistic.  I hope the team will be taking steps to rebuild the great teams of the 90s that spoiled us so.  Haley, with another year of head coaching under his belt, should also be a more effective leader to the team as a whole.  To check out the 2010 Chiefs as they return from camp, visit www.ticketsforless.com, for the best selection of Chiefs tickets.   Arrowhead Stadium tickets are as hot as training camp, and you can get the best seats now by calling Tickets For Less at 913-685-3322.
