Royals continue to use magic

The postseason run Kansas City is on right now has been amazing. Considering they were down 7-3 in the 8th inning against Jon Lester in the wild card game who would have ever thought this would be going on right now? The majority of the Royals faithful were ready to criticize Yost long into the Kansas City night and the entire off season. Then in a flash of an eye Jon Lester was exiting the game and things just changed.

Although James Shields has been struggling in this postseason the Royals have had plenty of run support for their ace. The Royals now stand 3 wins away from the World Series after winning Game 1 of the ALCS last night 8-6. It was another extra inning victory for Royals as again Alex Gordon joined the clutch extra inning home run parade with Eric Hosmer and Mike Moustakas.

The Royals got off to another fast start in Game 2 before Baltimore came rallying back to tie the game. This time the Royals saved their magic for the 9th inning instead of using it in the extras as KC won 6-4 and now stand two wins away from the World Series.
