Chiefs Playoff Drought

The Kansas City Chiefs have a chance to end their long playoff drought today in Indianapolis. The KC Chiefs have not won a playoff game since 1993. They have had several playoff appearances since then, many of which they have been the favorite. They’ve played at home where they have the advantage of the loudest crowd in the NFL at Arrowhead but has still been left without a win.

Now they try a different approach. Going on the road and being an underdog. Coming off a year where they had the worst record in the NFL. The Kansas City fans had no expectations going into this year and now they get a chance to see the Chiefs end this terrible drought. Something most people around the NFL, including KC, had not thought possible coming into this year. Ironically, Joe Montana was the last quarterback to deliver the Chiefs a playoff win after coming to Kansas City from San Francisco. Now, Alex Smith, another former 49er who also took his former team to the brink of the Super Bowl, will try to end the Chiefs’ drought.
