The 2010 Kansas City Chiefs have been a huge surprise.   There are many reasons why the Kansas City Chiefs have improved play.  I have listed below my reasons in no particular order:

1) new offensive & defensive coordinators

2) another year of experience for both Matt Cassel & Todd Haley

3) successful draft as this years players are contributing

4) addition of Ryan Lilja & Thomas Jones

5) easier schedule

6) Derrick Johnson has been given a chance to play
