The 2014 Super Bowl teams are in lock and it looks like the Denver Broncos will be taking on the Seattle Seahawks to battle for the title of best team in the NFL.
The Broncos took down the New England Patriots Sunday afternoon where Peyton Manning threw for 400 yards and 2 touchdowns. The Patriots played well but couldn’t seem to keep up with the Broncos defense who kept Manning from being sacked all game. Peyton played phenomenal and although he only threw for 2 TD’s, his drives set kicker Matt Prater up for 4 field goals. After the game Patriots quarterback Tom Brady acknowledged how great of an athlete Peyton Manning is and showed his respect for one of the NFL greats. Peyton celebrated in the locker room with his brothers, Eli and Cooper, as well as his father Archie.
The Seahawks were victorious over the San Francisco 49ers Sunday evening after a hard fought game by both sides. The Seahawks, who were down at halftime, played tough football and came out on top 23-17. This was an extremely physical game where both team’s defenses showed up to win. Russell Wilson led the game with 215 yards passing and 1 touchdown. His main target for the game was Doug Baldwin who brought in 6 catches for 1-6 yards. Colin Kaepernick avoided pressure from the Seahawks defense by racking up a game high, 130 rushing yards on 11 carries. The Seahawks managed to force 3 turnovers in the fourth quarters which essentially led to a spot at the Super Bowl.
