When I saw that we needed him to lead the Kansas City Chiefs down the field for the win in overtime, my thought was that well a tie wasn’t so bad. That isn’t the kind of confidence that you want to have in your quarterback. He proved me wrong. He grew as a quarterback and as a leader of the Kansas City Football team.

When he is talking in the huddle now, I think that he will get more respect from the rest of the team.

He will still struggles with throwing it 50 yards down field. He has now shown that he has the guts and leadership that is need to lead a team at the end of the game. I am not saying that he is there and ready for the playoffs. There is still plenty of room for improvement. However, he took a huge step forward.

The expectations of a quarterback on a team that runs the ball and plays defense the way the Kansas City Chiefs do is to not make any costly mistakes and occasionally lead the team to victory at the end of the game. I think he has the potential to grow into just that type of quarterback.
